This website has some interesting ideas on bringing the outdoors indoors . I love their flooring and think it could be very effective if used as a wallpaper. Using a wallpaper and flooring could create a sense of being outdoors.

Decorative arts - Wallpaper design

Here is a design i created in this class for decorative arts. We had to ultimately create a design based on knowledge we had received on mark making and colour theory. I am pleased with my final design and hope you all like it too!! 

These pictures above are my initial ideas using personal items and using my mark making sheets to cut out the shapes of the objects to add another media and depth to the design.

The images above are those of my final ideas and the last is my final design repeated to show how it would look as a wallpaper.

Indesign banner for digital design

Here is a banner that i had to create showing images that i had manipulated in photoshop. Hopefully you can read the banner and it will tell you how i manipulated these images. I did not draw the images but simple "coloured them in" to show how i would design the house and plans. This is the first time i have used photoshop and i am pleased with the end result -  the banner. Submitted today in a compressed file folder which i also learnt to do. Hope you like !! SD

Floor plan for personal development

Publishing my plan for a ground floor flat based on a clientele who work in the city and want a "crash pad". This includes an en-suite, guest bathroom when entertaining, open plan , work spaces for both individuals, a kitchen island, relaxing area with tv and hifi , washer mashine , dryer and an understairs cupboard for storage for cleaning.

Hello and welcome to my blog. 

This blog is for updates on my interior design work, thoughts, findings and general knowledge gained on the subject. Skydesigns stands for the well known phrase - the sky is the limit - my designs will hopefully show this once my course is completed.

I will use twitter groups as my main sources but will also include findings i have come across on my travels.

My name is Sophie West and i am a student at Teesside University in Middlesbrough, i am in my first year and i am 20 years old.
